Crochet Hat

Here is my Winter love, Crochet, cooking and baking!
When I can't get outdoor, because of snow or too cold, I love to crochet and watch a movie with my kids!
It isn't cold yet, I just decided to start early. I made this hat without patten. Whenever I make mistakes, I go back and fix it. Very easy and rewarding.

I love reading your comments!
What do you enjoy doing during Winter, when you can't drive because of the snow?

Crochet Ripple Afghan

I used to make Ripple pattern when was about 13 years old. I did totally forgot how to do it. I found a friend making a tie for her husband using the same pattern. And all the memory came back to me.

I making this for a special Aunt. She barely leaves home because of health condition. I am praying not only she feels love whenever she uses it, also God will bring healing to her.

This woman is has a big heart to help and serve. Ginger used to crochet beautiful laces and baby blanket for my kids. I would love God to heal her.

Pattern. You will need:

Crochet hook size: 4.5 mm
I used red heart yarn
HDC: Half Double Crochet

First row: I started with 286 chain.
Second Row: 13 HDC, then increase four HDC in one chain.Next, do another 13 HDC and skip four chains.

After that continue by repeating until you think that is the size you want. I stopped at 80 rows.

You will run in to mistakes too many times. So, keep looking at your work more often.

Happy Crocheting to you! I love reading your comments and thank you for stopping by.

This pattern is a Star stitch, you can use any pattern. I continued to make it large enough to fold it with a plenty of room.

I bought a material that is easy to wipe off and sew it with sewing machine.

Once all was trimmed, I used crochet yarn and sew it by hand, using large needle from inside out.

My Fabulous Crochet Hat

This hat is a very difficult pattern to write.
1 round:I started with 12 SC in the round. You always want to make sure the hat is flat for the first 6 round. After that no increase and you continue until the hat fits you right.
For the cap, increase every other stitch, seven increase total.

If you get the idea how to do butterfly stitch, it is very easy to do and very rewarding.

This may not be exactly hat as mine, here is a great YouTube tutorial.  Butterfly Crochet Stitch

I am making more hats for this month. I will be sharing some more of my work very soon.

I hope you enjoyed what you saw, I love to hear your comments and feel free to do so. Thank you for stopping by.

Front and Back Post free crochet pattern

I had planned to make two baby blankets for two friends that are having a baby. Both don't want to know the sex of the baby and I wanted to pick this color. My neighbor end up having the baby about three weeks earlier. I made her a blanket and the head band with a pink flower. It is a girl and her name is Madelyn. She is so cute!

This pattern is so easy. I wasn't planning to do this pattern, but a friend of mine suggested and it turned out great!

I started with 196 chains. After that I did 5 Front Post Half Double Crochet (FPHDC) and 5 a Back Post Half Double Crochet (BPHDC).

Continue that way until the end. You can decide how big you want your blanket to be.

Sara, repeat crafer me has a video if you like to watch.

It is that simple and beautiful!

Happy Crochet!

Spark you room with two side Crochet Pillow Case

I am excited how it turned out. I had no plan what I was about to do with it. I thought they will be great for table mat, which they are, but this idea came to me last minute to make a pillow case.

My friend was getting rid of her lace curtains and used that to cover it. For the first time I learned to sew and I figure pillow case will the pillow case. It wasn't easy, but with a friends help I did it.

I sew both from the inside out only for the 3/4 part.

Here you have beautiful pillow case. You can use any pattern.

My eyes has been drawing to Blue, Rose or Pink color.

My daughter's Crochet Slippers

As you can see I am in love with this color. I thought it will be easy to make it, well it was.

You really need to see as you go and check the size. The main thing is to continue try as you crochet. My daughter was home and I kept trying on her.

Step #2, you will stop the round, and step #3, you will start the row until you reach #4. Step #5, stitch from the inside.

Finally here it is.

Before I cut the yarn, I added the chain. Only if you wish.

If you are like me, I prefer picture DIY than patterns.

Happy Crochet! I always love to read your comment.

I hope this can be helpful to my readers. If you have any question, you are welcome to email me.
Have a great day!!

Project #1, Crochet love

I know this color isn't kids friendly, it might get dirty easy. I can't resist, I love the combination of these two colors.

I really love it and i am hoping to make Table Matt for six. So I decided to make eight corners instead for my next project.

You will find pattern at the queen Lacy Crochet.  http://lacycrochet.blogspot.com/2012/06/doily-of-week-23.html
I am better in crocheting than writing pattern. I hope you enjoy it.
I always love to hear your comment,

Crochet Scarf for a gift

I started with 82 chain and HDC 14 rows. You can make it longer and wider as you like.

I Fold it in half and stitch it on the corners.

Below, I cross it over and make sure the end lines up.

I put a button that will match the color and you have a scarf less than two hours. Great gift for your love ones.

Another scarf in green color, two of my favorite color.

I thank God my friend for modeling. Happy crocheting!!!

I was the kind of person running from one store to another to get teachers, friends and family gifts. It is time consuming, but there is so much satisfaction and appreciation from hand/home made.

When I was growing up, we made from table clothes, quilts and baskets. I remember walking home from school, the smell of bake goods and food, I still miss that. I want my children to miss home when they leave. Hopefully, my daughter will have an example to follow, as I did from my mother. What you do today, it will determine your future.

Ecclesiastes 11:6,"In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper."

If you enjoy
this, I would love to hear your comment.

Christmas Stocking Crochet

Start with 55 chain. Starting from the second chain, from the hook. HDC in each chain across. You will end up 54 HDC.

Row 5: 8 slip stitches. Then 38 HDC, and another 8 slip stitch.
Row 6, chain one in turn, put HDC in one across. HDC to 17 Round.
You will finish off with red color and leave and long yarn.

Fold the boot in half and sew it together only by leaving the top open.

Round 17, I am using green yarn. Make a slip knot, and join in from the back center. Pull your yarn through. You will HDC 4 round. You will end up to Row 20.
You can make it as wide and longer you need it by adding chain and more rows.

Now you have your stocking with the hook. You are welcome to add names of your love ones or as I did above.....Joy, Noel, and so on.

I hope you give it try, it is very rewarding and not time consuming at all.

Merry Christmas to all!
