In His presence!

"If you want today to be a good day, you need to take charge of the way you look at it."
John C. Maxwell

I woke up this morning, the kids are still sleep. They seem in peace. They are my three angels. God has been so gracious to me! His favor is overwhelming!

The kids has been swimming all day yesterday at the beach. We were hoping just to take it easy and enjoy the day by touring the Miami beach city. It is misty(rainy), as long as it stays like this it might be better than the heat.

I went for a jog/run by the beach. It is a bit windy, perfect for a jog! I love to slow down and talk to God on a quiet morning.

Psalm 1:2, "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night."

Matthews 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Weight loss

For the past two years, I have gained twenty pounds. It has been so hard to loose weight.

In May, I decided to do Interval training, which is walk for three minutes and run for a minute. Repeat the same thing for about half an hour. If you can, do it twice a day.

Today, it has been exactly a month and I lost five pounds and 2 inches. I feel good, my body has got stronger everyday. Because the first week, my whole body was in pain.

I know going on vacation for three weeks will pull me back behind, eating fast food and I won't be able to exercise.

Every morning, I try to drink juice.
1 orange
1 grape fruit
2 kiwi
1/2 lemon
1 teaspoon honey
1 cup of water
some ice

Put it all in blender. It makes two cups of juice. Sometimes I add mint and ginger water instead to clean the toxic in my body.
Here you have it. Don't sweat about life, take one day at a time. Do one thing better than yesterday.

Happy Summer!!!!!

Funnel cake recipe

My kids wanted funnel cake, they will pour chocolate on top. I am not crazy for fried food. When I eat, I top it with blue berries and some maple syrup.

Ingredient:
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 cup milk
Canola oil, for frying
1 cup confectioners' sugar

 for topping

Instruction:
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl whisk the egg and granulated sugar. Whisk the egg into the milk mixture. Gently stir the milk mixture into the flour mixture. The batter should be a little thicker than pancake batter. Add more milk if needed.

Heat 2 inches of canola oil in a pot with deep sides over medium heat until it gets to 375. Just heat it until a drop of water sizzles when dropped into the oil. pour 1/2 cup batter for about 30 seconds until the batter floats and the underside is golden. Use a spoon and flip to cook and hold the funnel over the oil and moving the funnel around in circles to create a web pattern. Cook for another 30 seconds or more, or until golden. Place the funnel cake on a paper towel and let cool for a minute. Top it with powdered sugar and serve.

A change from inside out

Change from the inside out comes out when you say I need to change. God helps those that are willing to change. We need to ask the holy spirit to show us what is in us that doesn't bring glory to God. He is willing to reveal to us if we surrender with an open heart.
Speak to your heavenly father by saying, I can't do it on my own. Show me what is inside of me that I don't see. God will show you and he will change you as you trust him on the process.
Don't speed the process by trying to fix it. And if you are praying for others, show mercy and love until God works in their lives.
Psalms 51:3- "Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit with in me."

My daughter's gift

My daughter loves to draw. I will love to see her spend more time on it. This was done in less than ten minutes. She was upset with something and acted angry. She went up to her room and came back with this art and gave it to me. I guess it is her way saying, she is sorry. She understood quick that she acted wrong. Thank God for her heart!

How do you know if everything is going to be ok?

More often we hear people say,"Everything is going to be OK." I love to encourage others and it is alright if I am only encouraging someone. I am talking about Christians acting as if they know with all authority.

Col 4:2-6, Paul praying in prison. Paul knew God is for him, even if he is suffering, it is for the kingdom of God. We know for sure, God will establish His kingdom, His righteousness and His new Jerusalem. His promise never changes. As we live daily in obedient and walk in His guidance, and He will continue to finish what he started.

Do we really follow God? Don't we plan our future on our own, then we ask God to fix it? God will not help when we don't follow his spiritual principles.  So, that's why, everything isn't going to be fine! It is important that we should be mature in God's word. As we pray consistently, we will see that God is faithful.

Thanksgiving is a key! When we are thanksgiving to God, we will understand God is alive and He is working for our benefits.

Reading the book of Psalms everyday can bring you closer to God and you will become thankful for what you already have. Sing and praise God for who He is. He is faithful!

Psalms 1: 2-3, "Those righteous delight in the law of the lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do."
