Where is a good place to invest?

Have you ever waited your whole life for that moment? Have you spend your life climbing that success ladder and to find out that ladder didn't actually took you where you think it would.

Are you the one waited for so long to graduate and get that job? Or you waited for your kids to leave that you can go back to work, and then to find out that wasn't it?

You are to be a person of a purpose of God and the emptiness of life shouldn't affect you.

The reason you feel emptiness is because you been seeking your own purpose and still haven't accomplished it yet.

Yes, your purpose isn't your job, your master degree or to any other hobby you are after.

The bible said, Seek ye the kingdom of God and all things should be added to you.

You see God will use your hard work, gift and education if you put God first. Your heavenly father know what you need and He will provide all your needs. It is OK to be excellence, hard work and studying.

1 Cor 10:31:"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

You are to serve the purpose of God. To Glorify Jesus Christ and advance the kingdom of God.

We will never have purpose unless God and what he want our priority and our focus on God.
Make your life count.  Just like we invest our money on stock market, gold, real estate and bonds, invest in the life of others.

You will reap harvest in the kingdom of God.

Like 10: 30-37: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.  So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.  He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

I don't know about you, for me when I am before God it s easy to ask for my needs to be met. I usually catch myself going over my list, then I will ask God to show me what he wants me to do.

Jes is my favorite writer. She has a gift in teaching wonderfully. She doesn't use social media, just her blog. She started blogging a year ago, but her blog focuses in glorifing God and God has blessed her. This is one of her post who do we glory. You can visit her at:

http://strangersandpilgrimsonearth.blogspot.com/2011/11/good-glory.html.

I pray this speaks to your heart and keep reminding yourself by saying,"It is not about me, it is about the purpose of God for which he's called me."

I will be glad to pray for you and I always appreciate your comments.

Crochet Hat

I was making a throw with star stitch when I decided to make a hat. This is a star stitch in between two chains. For age 10-12, thirteen rows.
If I didn't want to be fold them to warm the ears,
I would have done only 11 rows.

Here is one very simple, I started with eight HDC on the ring and increase second row two HDC in one chain. 14 row HDC, then to finish four rows of Front Post Half Double Crochet (FPHDC) and a Back Post Half Double Crochet (BPHDC).

If you are asking why I put a number 2, it is because my son plays travel soccer and his number on the team is 2. He asked me to make him a hat that will match his team color blue and white.

I am working on another hat for my oldest son in different color. What if I told you it took me less than three hours to complete this hat from start to finish. Yes, I did and I didn't follow any pattern.

With Crochet, I can come up with designs, but it might be hard to repeat. I think I am pretty sure I can repeat this pattern.

I hope you find something you love and have fun with it. So many of us want do what others are doing.

I always appreciate your comment and thank you for your visit!!

Hoagie Buns

Ingredients:
5 teaspoons dry active yeast (2 pkgs)
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups of water luke warm
3 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons salt
6 or 7 cups all- purpose flour
cornmeal
1 egg white
sesame seed

Directions:

Let the sugar and salt melt in water, then add yeast.
Melt butter and, stir into yeast mixture. You can substitute vegetable oil.

Mix in flour, 1 cup at a time until desired consistency is reached, until it got to a texture that you liked. The dough should be a bit sticky when you touch.

Knead well, that is the key. Knead for about 10 min.
Cover with plastic wrap and let stand until doubled. (approx an hour).

It doubled in size.

Lightly dust a small amount of corn meal over well-greased pans. Roll your dough into long, thin oval shape and place about 3" apart on the pans. To give it nice hoggie buns looks, slash each loaf every inch and a half with a knife, brush with egg white, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Let it sit again to rise for about 30 min.

Bake in a 400°F oven until golden brown. I will say 20 min, but it varies depends on your oven. Make sure it is golden brown, if you look at the bottom of the hoagie and it is getting darker. You can broil it.When you broil, stand and watch, don't walk away for a second. You will burn it, I know this from experience:-)

Thank you for stopping by and I always appreciate you comments!

Inspiration of the day

Colossians 1:10
"That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,

being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God."

Colossians 2:6-7“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”

My prayer is that you won't get caught up by the weight of the world. Take time today and hear the voice of God.

 Be blessed!!

Red cabbage and beet salad

I love the color on both Beet and Red Cabbage. This type of cabbage and beet offers a wealth of nutritional and health benefits.

Red cabbage contains the phytochemical sulforaphane, which may reduce your risk of cancer, particularly lung cancer, and may also help rid your body of toxins that can lead to illness or disease. The antioxidants in red cabbage play similar roles. Red cabbage contains six to eight times more antioxidants than white cabbage.

Red cabbage is also packed with minerals. Such as potassium, iron, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium.

The vitamin C in beetroot juice is a potent antioxidant, which may offer protection against the carcinogenic effects of environmental toxins.

Several nutrients in beetroot juice support the activities of your immune system. Vitamin C promotes the production and activity of the white blood cells that fight infections. Vitamin A helps your body create barriers against infectious organisms. Vitamins A, folate and zinc support your immune system by promoting metabolic function and contributing to the production of proteins that help your body resist infection.

4 medium size beets. Cut the beet thin. I like them little soft.

Boil 1/4 cup of water and let the beet cook for about 10 minute on high heat.

Add cabbage as mush as you prefer and some carrots for color.

Use the liquid for dressing from the beet after you boil and drain.  Let it cool first, then add one table spoon of olive oil, teaspoon of Balsamic vinegar. Salt and pepper.

Put some kind of green arugula, spinach or any kind of lettuce under your salad.

Here you have very colorful and healthy salad!

Enjoy!

What is your favorite and healthy salad recipe?

Rich chocolate fudge

Crust:
2 rows Oreo cookies with the white centers removed
6 tablespoons melted butter

Fugde:
8 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
10 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
2 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pinch of salt

Position a rack in the lower third of your oven and preheat to 350 degrees.

Crush the Oreos. Combine well with the melted butter till crumbs are all moistened, then press into a pan. Make sure to use 10-inch tart pan, mine's a 9-inch.

Bake crust for 10 minutes, until firm, remove from oven and allow to cool.

Place your chocolate and cut butter into a saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring until smooth and silky. Remove from heat and let cool.

In a mixing bowl, beat your eggs and then add cream, sugar, salt and vanilla.

Now, start mixing with the cholocate mx.

Pour in to the cool crust and bake at 350, for 25 min.

Here you have so delicious fudge you will love! My kids devour it in one evening.

This recipe is originally copied from Rachael Ray. I love to change a bit and sometimes more, to cut sugar.
